Jet2 Cheap Alicante and Murcia Flights for this Winter start from as little £39 one way including taxes and from £59 in Summer 2013. Offering excellent fligjht times on flights departing from the UK with most leaving in daylight hours without the need to get up in the middle of the night to get to the airport.
In 2013 Alicante flights are operating direct from the following airports:
Belfast Northern Ireland and Blackpool, East Midlands, Leeds, Manchester and Newcastle, UK. Also great value direct lfight from Scotland departing both Edinburgh and Glasgow airports.
Airport bosses reject Ryanair offer to bring 600,000 new pasengers into Alicante airport in 2013.
AENA who operate Alicante airport have rejected the offer from Ryanair to bring in 600,000 passengers in 2013 provided they can cease using the costly air bridges on ALL arriving and departing Alicante flights.
Despite a deficit of 1 million passengers in 2012 it looks like AENA do not care about tourism on the Costa Blanca. Perhaps they hope Ryanair will back down! Unlikely.
This is the usual case of numbers are down, so lets charge as much as we can to the airlines who still bring in revenue. A very odd way to do business in these tough times for Spanish airports. It is beyond belief that AENA are willing to throw away up to 600,000 extra passengers and subsequent boost in revenue that is much needed on the Costa Blanca which totally relies on tourism.
